Quarterly execution brought agility to Varha's project management

Varha, the wellbeing services county of Southwest Finland, built a unified data foundation and grew its data leadership. Planning and delivering the work in quarterly cycles kept the large-scale initiative moving with DSharp Studio.

Big data initiatives tend to stall when they're planned as one long march. Varha took a different route — it ran the programme in quarterly cycles, so momentum never depended on a distant finish line.

The challenge

A wellbeing services county brings the data of many former organizations together under one roof. Varha needed a single, unified data foundation — and a way to keep a large, multi-team initiative moving without losing clarity or pace along the way.

Quarter by quarter

Instead of a multi-year plan on paper, the team planned and delivered in quarters. Each cycle produced working, governed data — not just documents — using DSharp Studio to turn models into tested structures quickly enough to show real progress every three months.

The outcome

Agility at scale. The data foundation grew steadily, data leadership matured alongside it, and every quarter ended with something the organization could actually put to use.
