DSharp at Tietojohtamisen Verkostopäivät

We are participating in the Tietojohtamisen verkostopäivät -event (Knowledge Management Network Days) this week, September 28-29.

Our partners and people working in knowledge management from all over Finland will come to Kuopio for the Tietojohtamisen verkostopäivät.

Over the course of two days, many interesting presentations from knowledge management professionals will be heard. On Friday, our CEO Tero-Matti Kinanen will be speaking to the public about the beauty of the Model-based data warehouse.

The best thing about these days is meeting other people in the industry. There are especially many people coming from SoTe-areas (wellbeing services counties), and many companies offering services to them are present too.

There is joy in being able to exchange ideas with other people in the field and seeing people face-to-face you have only met in remote meetings.

Kim Johnsson, Kristian Granroth, Konsta Weber and Tero-Matti Kinanen from our team will be there. See you in Kuopio!

Kristian Granroth

Kristian Granroth joins DSharp as Head of Professional Services. Kristians role is to expand our services, take over training and find great new consultants to join him in our professional services offering.

He has worked in the data business for over twenty years.

“I have worked with databases and reporting since 1999. I have been in Project management since 2003. My clients have been mostly from municipalities, education sector and health care, including the new wellbeing services counties”, he says.

At DSharp he expects to have many new and fun challenges. Kristian joins the “bike to work team” and comes to the office giving his 2 cats a bit of free time at home. When he has the chance, he likes to travel to far away locations to explore the world.

To the question how it has been so far, he replies:
“Great! Though I knew that it would since I have been working with most of the people here for years. There is an awesome ‘spirit of happening’ here!”

Great to have you on board Kristian!

Concept Model Based Data Platform

Why are data platforms built? Simply because there is a lot of information in organizations and they want to be able to use it easily and quickly. Over the years, efforts have been made to respond to this need in many different ways. Reporting has been built directly from source systems, different reporting databases have been compiled, traditional data warehouses have been built according to the Inmon or Kimball methodology or others. Recently, data has also been modeled using the data vault architecture and data warehouses have been built accordingly. I have tried to summarize this world in the article picture, which shows the basic principle.
