DSharp Studio

We are thrilled to announce the launch of DSharp Studio. DSharp Studio replaces DSharp Engine, and in addition to the classic automation features, it also includes all the modeling capabilities of DSharp Studio Modeler, released earlier. It is a completely new user experience with a streamlined fit-for-purpose workflow, and it’s all about getting things done. This update brings unparalleled ease of use and powerful new tools to the fingertips of modelers, developers and data architects, reinforcing our commitment to innovation in no-code data warehouse automation solutions.

Key Features of the New Release:

Revamped User Interface: The new interface of DSharp Studio offers a clean, modern look with an intuitive layout, making navigation and operation smoother than ever. This enhancement is not just cosmetic; it’s designed to improve user interaction and efficiency significantly.

Design Mode

  • Efficient Modeling: The Modeling Engine has been carefully designed for the single purpose of delivering with one click what would take multiple user actions in other similar modeling tools, so building models has never been quicker. Also supported is importing database tables directly as classes in the Conceptual model.
  • Real-Time Class Analysis: The unique real time Analysis Engine identifies unfinished tasks as you are modeling, providing one-click actions to complete them, greatly speeding up the development cycle.
  • Submodel Organization: With the introduction of handy organizing commands, DSharp Studio actively encourages users to organize their model into understandable and manageable submodels.
  • Power User Features: The power of batch commands and the Quick Input tool that lets you apply the same definitions to multiple objects in just one action, further allow users to be more productive and focus on higher-level design considerations.

Run Mode

  • Deployment and Maintenance: the classic DSharp Engine functionality you’ve been using for years; more logically laid out, but still familiar.
  • Conceptual Model Data Interface: Operate on the data directly through the classes in the Conceptual model; no need to even know about the physical database level!

Fabric Support

  • New Target Platform: The addition of Fabric as a supported platform opens up new possibilities for deployment and integration, broadening the scope of DSharp Studio’s applicability.

Documentation and Compatibility

  • Improved Documentation Capabilities: Users can document any model element efficiently in the Documentation pane or Glossary. The documentation will show up in the generated HTML documentation.
  • 3rd Party Tool Compatibility: The new version maintains compatibility with supported modeling tools. Just import your Visual Paradigm or Ellie projects and save to native 5.0 project formats.

DSharp Studio streamlines the design process and radically shortens the idea-to-implementation time. It brings unmatched efficiency to data warehouse-focused modeling and lightning-fast deliveries.

Tuukka Urpi Becomes Partner

Tuukka Urpi, our Head of Software Development, has leveled up to join the ownership team at DSharp. This adds another wacky character to our journey.

“Becoming an owner in DSharp binds my balls and wallet to the company,” Tuukka says strangely effortlessly. “This is the way”, he continues.

Tuukka becomes the 7th owner in DSharp. May the number bring him more than just luck.

“We enjoy Tuukkas’ company and skills. Welcome!” the existing partners of DSharp conclude.
