DSharp Studio

DSharp 5.0 with modeling capabilities is coming! We have just finished a successful beta 1 testing phase, and we can say that the next era of automated data warehousing is right around the corner.

The beta testing group consisted of data professionals from our partners and end customers and the overall feedback was very positive. For example, Senior Data Platform Specialist Johanna Tuominen from Netum Oy enjoyed the new features that will make the modeling a lot easier and said: “The most interesting thing in beta testing was 5.0’s own modeling tool and it seemed really promising. I believe that it will make work much easier when there is no need to use another supplier’s software at the same time.”

Beta testing is an important part of our extensive quality assurance effort. We are really happy to see an increased level of excitement and commitment among our growing DSharp community. Testing gives partners the business opportunity of being first movers with new emerging technology aiming for a new level of productivity and profitability.

Huge thanks to all beta testers, your input is very valuable to us!

Up next is beta 2 and it will be a fully functional version of our new solution. Right after that DSharp 5.0 will be available for customers and partners.

A brief summary of new features:

  • Modeling made simple: automatically configured associations and other productivity-enhancing features for the casual user
  • Power user modeling features, like creating several associations or key definitions with just one click, or creating entire models using the simple Quick Input window
  • Generating the Conceptual model from an existing table structure (reverse-engineer database structure to a Conceptual model)
  • Model Analysis tells you in real time what you still need to do in order to make the model implementable. And not only does it tell you, it also presents you with a selection of actions to choose from to solve the issues with just one click

We will start training with the new version in March. Further details here.
